Norwalk Easter Library Launches New Website

The Norwalk Easter Public Library has an updated website. Visit www.norwalklibrary.org to view the improvements and additions to this new virtual library. The platform offers an updated look and feel. It is also mobile responsive, allowing for an improved user experience whether on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

“Our new website is more intuitive and users can find library materials and online resources much more easily,” said Library Director Jean Bosch. “The vibrant look and feel of the site is going to encourage library users to explore and learn about everything the library has to offer.” The virtual library will provide instant access to any Norwalk Easter Public Library cardholder to a vast collection of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and music for downloading or streaming.

The web design was funded by the generosity of the Norwalk Easter Public Library Foundation. Some of the new features include modern design, simple navigation, new layout, improved search capabilities, and easier access to downloadable materials and databases. There is a sidebar linking users to helpful, short tutorials to assist with Google products, Microsoft products, Zoom, and other online resources.

One of the goals in the library’s Fiscal Year 2021-2025 Strategic Plan calls for the library to build digital skills and services where community members will discover a wide variety of resources,  and programs that meet a variety of interest areas. “Launching our new website is a significant start to help meet that goal,” said Bosch. “The redesign of the website comes in response to numerous requests from patrons as well as the need to modernize the platform, particularly when finding online information has been so critical during the pandemic.”
