Get a Library Card - Norwalk Easter Public Library

Norwalk residents* may have a full access library card to access all of the materials available to check out as well as gain access to the library’s e-books, e-audiobooks, streaming/downloadable music, and other library resources.

*Norwalk residents, with proof of residency, may have a library card free of charge (see below).
*Residents of Cumming, Ackworth, Rural Warren County, or any community participating in Iowa’s Open Access Program may obtain a library card free of charge, with proof of residency (see below)
*Residents of Martensdale, St. Mary’s, Spring Hill, and Sandyville (or communities that do not contract for library services and/or participate in the Iowa Open Access Program) will have to pay an annual fee of $28.00.
*We do not issue library cards for out-of-state individuals.
A valid card or photo i.d. is required to check out materials.
Cards are issued for two (2) years; there is no fee for renewal.
There are no age restrictions for library card applicants; however anyone under 14 will require a guardian’s signature to obtain a library card.
By state law, all patron borrowing records are confidential, including records of minor children. Information cannot be released without due process of law.
Lost or stolen cards should be reported to the library immediately.

You are required to furnish a photo identification with current address OR a photo i.d. and a second item with proof of residential address.
