Book Clubs

For the safety and wellness of both patrons and staff, there will be no in-person programming until further notice.

See the Library’s Phased Re-opening Plan for more information.

However, we are pleased to host book discussions virtually starting in October!
See event calendar for details.

Do you love to talk about books? So do we! Join us and other readers for unique discussions in one of our book clubs or author events. The Norwalk Easter Public Library offers the following book clubs:

Novel Year Book Club

A traditional-style book club, Novel Year Book Club meets and discusses on the 3rd Monday of most months. This book club hosts two discussion times:

  • Afternoon session 12:30 PM-2:00 PM
  • Evening session 6:30 PM-8:00 PM

Copies of the book club selection can be checked out at the library’s front desk at the conclusion of the previous month’s meeting and are available while supplies last. Or, borrow an ebook or eaudiobook through Overdrive/Libby. No registration is required. Visit the event calendar for each month’s selections.

*Book club discussions will be held virtually with Zoom until we are able to meet in person.

Contact the library for Zoom meeting details at library@norwalk.iowa.gov or 515-981-0217.
